diary vs. dairy

Diary on a noun which refers to a daily log of experiences, especially of a writer. It’s the journal you write your thoughts and experiences into. The I comes before the a in this one.

On the other hand, dairy is a place or farm where milk is processed into butter and cheese. Notice that the a comes before the i in this one.

Expatiate not expantiate

Expatiate means to write or speak at length.
There is no word like expantiate.

People say it because they have the idea that they are expanding their point in order to throw more light on it. However, the root of the word is not expand.
