One sunny Wednesday afternoon, my team was preparing to go to a Junior High School to teach the students there how to use the Internet, as part of our project for the semester. It seemed as though all was set except for the projector and data for the mifi.
We went to the department of Information Studies to request for one but it wasn’t available for us to use.
I told my team, “Guys, we have two options: we either postpone this to Friday or rely on God’s miracle-working ability.” So I asked that we agree in prayer to obtain a projector (which would indeed have been a miracle if we got it. We were scheduled to be at the school by 1:30 pm and as at 1:00 pm were still sitting at the University Bookshop counting on God for a projector.)
It seemed as though we would not be able to project our slides. However, I casually opened the group page of our class and read that our Telecoms class (which is at 7:30 am on Fridays, would not come off. That was good news because it meant that even if we could not go on Wednesday due to the projector, we could go on Friday morning.)
The challenge here was that we had an appointment to keep with the school. We could not simply postpone such a thing we had sent a letter to the school requesting for. They would regard us as unserious and even wonder what kind of training we’re receiving in the University.
Some of our team members had already gone to the Econs department for the projector but they were ‘bounced’.
Another two of them set out to go and get another one. That was when we prayed the prayer of agreement.
Do you know what happened?
When it was 1:15 pm, those two people drove back and then one of them, Bernard, walks up to us and says, “We’ve got it!”
I was so excited and thankful to God! What a miracle!
In fact, we got two projectors at that point in time!
I shared this testimony to encourage you!
Don’t ever give up!
God has his eyes on you. Trust completely in Him. Believe in His ability and willingness to help you. He says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord , and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 41:10,13,14)
There is a lot of hope for you! God loves you too much to leave you hanging! Just believe! The Word says if God did not spare His own Son, how will he not along with Him freely give you all things! (Romans 8:32).
I recall telling my team the words of Jesus in Mark 9:23: “…all things are possible to him that believeth.”
My message is simple: Jesus is willing and able; just believe!
You may be asking what happened to the data. Well, we bought some but we could not really use the mifi. But the entire trip was awesome. We had a swell time with the students. Whiles we were engaging them at the start as we were setting up, one of our team members went to one of the classrooms and preached the Gospel. Three of the students gave their lives to Christ! Gloryyyyy!
Wonderfully enough, some of the students bore the names of three of our team members. It was so beautiful!
Do you know this Jesus? Call upon his name today and you’ll be saved!
