We are Marked with the Precious Blood of Jesus

As I have criss-crossed the world and Africa, I have become the focus of attacks of satan many times. In Africa, millions love me- I love them all! But there are a few who hate me and you know, shall I tell you who the ones are that hate me? They are the sorcerers. They are the witches because they say when Bonnke comes to town our business goes bankrupt. I take it as a compliment!

Many times, witches and sorcerers came to curse me. In one Crusade, four witches came and they said, “We’re going to curse Bonnke.” I didn’t know anything about such hocus pocus but this is what happened: four came and they said, “We’ll position ourselves at the four corners of his Crusade site.”

Then they were synchronising their watches and they said, “The same split second when Bonnke preaches, we’re going to call up evil spirits. We will hurl them against him on the platform and he will be paralysed.” I sat on my chair there. The singers were singing…far too long for my taste.

You know, when your gun is loaded, it’s a torment if you can’t pull the trigger. I sat there- I smelt nothing of demons at all. But when I sat there I felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit under me, around me, everywhere! Then they said, “Now, Evangelist Bonnke will come to the microphone.” And I said, “Hallelujah!” That one little “Hallelujah” was enough and it snapped four times. Snap! Snap! Snap! Snap! Those four sorcerers came together and said, “Bonnke is too powerful- we can never curse him.”

They got into contact with the biggest witch on earth and said, “Please fly to Africa. We’ll pay your first class ticket. Come and curse Bonnke.”

I don’t want to keep you in too much suspense but I already want to tell you that that was a 1st class mistake! That witch came. I was in another Crusade. Those four sorcerers were sitting in the middle of the crowd. That big witch was sitting in-between. I was sitting on my chair. I didn’t smell any devil. I felt the anointing. Hallelujah! Blessed be the Name of Jesus!

They said, “Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is going to preach.” I jumped up and took the microphone and just said a little “Hallelujah!” That moment, that big witch that had come first class had an asthma attack. She started to wheeze, “I’m dying. I’m dying. Take me out!” They carried her out. I nearly went down to pray for her because you know we happen to pray for the sick!

Now, you say, “Reinhard, how do you know all this?” Good question! I tell you how I know all this: one of those four sorcerers came back. He stood in front of me shaking like a leaf in the wind. He told me the whole story. He said to me, “Bonnke, today I have seen that your Jesus is stronger than my Lucifer!”

Results!

“There, God has highly exalted Him and given Him a Name above every name!”

He said to me, “I want your Jesus.”

All devils were cast out of him!

My latest information is that he’s an evangelist filled with the Holy Spirit. There is power in the blood of Jesus! No matter what the devil works up, you don’t need to swallow what he cooks up! We are bought with a price! If I look after my property and you look after your property, God looks after His property! We are marked with the precious blood of Jesus!

We are not up for chances!

We are safe and secure in the arms of Jesus!

#Quotidian…grow daily!

Even in lockdown, everybody needs Jesus

Don’t be deceived! Many people have not yet encountered our risen Lord Jesus Christ. And this is mainly because many believers have not taken the Gospel to them. I’m always stirred by the story of Pastor Karen Victor when she went to Bethlehem (just a year or two ago), where Jesus was born. She was on the streets of Bethlehem when she met a young lady and engaged her in a conversation. Pastor Karen asked the young lady, “Do you know Jesus?” The young lady quizzed, “Who is that?” 😱 How in the world would someone walking on the streets of the town in which the Saviour of the world was born not know him?! Well, Pastor Karen told the young lady about Jesus, explaining to her how much the Lord loves her and the young lady surrendered her life to Christ. Not only that, Pastor Karen laid her hands on the young lady and she was filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues on the streets of Bethlehem! Hallelujah!

Do you think everybody has already heard about Jesus? No, they haven’t! And we have a divine mandate to let every boy, girl, man and woman know this amazing Man of Galilee, who is the Lord of All.

Considering the times we are in today, you may not have the opportunity to reach out to somebody out there physically due to restrictions in your nation. But let me share with you some very vital things you can do:

Intensify your intercession

So, you may be at home, bored and all, flipping through TV channels and wishing life was back to normal. But who will make that happen? Is it the government or the health workers? Who exactly will salvage our world today? It is YOU! You are the salt of the earth. You are called to preserve the earth. You can effect changes in our world from your room as you intercede for the leaders, the health workers and those who are lost. You see, the fate of the world rests in your mouth. You must pray. Don’t wait around for things to go back to normal, otherwise before you know it, things would become worse than they already are. Now that you have time on your hands, spend time alone with God on your knees in fervent intercession. Make a list of your friends and loved ones whom you’ve criticised for so long but have never said a prayer for before. Then pray for them. The Lord will hear you and you will practically see changes. Don’t leave anything to chance. This is the time to rise up in fervent prayer day and night, receiving God’s mercies on behalf of those who have backslidden. Call up your spiritual friends and pray together.

Become more conversant with the message of salvation

If you do not have a firm grip on the essence of the Gospel, I advise you to search the Scriptures. Study to know Jesus better and understand who He is and what He came to do. If you want to be effective an a soul winner, you must have the right message- Jesus! So how do you become more conversant with the message of the Gospel? Well, first of all, you need to understand how the Gospel is working in your own life. What has Jesus done for you? In simple terms, He died on the cross for your sins, God raised Him from the dead and you believed in Him so now you have eternal life in you. So you are saved.

Look carefully at John 3:16,17 and you will see that the whole Gospel is summed up in there. If that’s not enough for you, you can go to YouTube and watch a message by Reinhard Bonnke entitled The Blood of Jesus. You can also check out the ‘Meet Jesus’ page of my blog (www.rhemainfocus.blogspot.com) to get the message. On Facebook, you can follow Sandy Amponsah’s posts. Or better still, there is an amazing book by E.W. Kenyon entitled ‘What happened from the Cross to the Throne’. These are all resources that will help you to become more conversant with the Gospel so that you can articulate it well. Now more than ever, we need to share the pure message of God’s grace and love for humanity expressed in Jesus Christ.

Be filled with the Spirit

Ephesians 5:18 speaks of how we should continually be filled with the Spirit. Why is it so important? Because that was the secret of the Apostles in the early Church. They were continually filled with the Spirit. As a result, they spoke the Word of God with boldness (see Acts 4:29-31). So how do you get filled with the Spirit? One of the principal ways is to pray in tongues. As you pray in tongues, you communicate with God directly. Verse 19 of Ephesians 5 says “Speaking to yourselves…” Speak in tongues. He says speak to yourself in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. That’s how to be filled with the Spirit. Speak Psalms, and hymns and spiritual songs. Don’t be singing songs that pollute your soul with demons of lust and impurity. Make melody in your heart to the Lord. Give Him thanks always! As you do these, you are filled with the Spirit and that positions you to effectively witness to other people.

Witness to your neighbours

If you have an 8-5 job, chances are that your main conversation with your neighbours goes this way:

Morning

You: Good morning

Them: Good morning. Go and come.

Evening

You: Good evening

Them: Good evening. Welcome back.

And the cycle continues week after week, and you don’t even take the time to find out if they have eaten that day, let alone know if they know Jesus.

If you are a student back home, this is your perfect opportunity. Seize it. Engage your neighbours and share the Gospel.

As a worker, now that you don’t go to the office every day, take some slots out of your day and talk to somebody about Jesus. You can still maintain social distancing as you do that. You don’t have to get so close to someone to tell them about Jesus.

You may be thinking that how are you going to reach out at a time when everybody is so anxious. This is why you were filled with the Spirit- to minister hope and life to those around you. Refuse to fear!

I thought the lockdown was so serious that I had not seen the sunshine in some days. But one evening, I walked out my gate to see if I could get something to eat. Behold! People were everywhere. Some were having conversations. Shops were open. Food vendors were there…with people queued up. I thought to myself, “This is my opportunity. I thought I had missed every opportunity to preach the Gospel to anybody. I will take advantage of this to minister to people.” Thankfully, I had been spending extended periods in the Secret Place in the previous days.

A few days later, I went out with one thing in mind: to win souls. Six teenagers were aimlessly chit-chatting in front of a house. I approached them and shared the Gospel with them. Then I led them to Christ. I told them I’d meet them again…and I am looking forward to us winning the whole community. Now more than ever, I see how I wasted opportunities in the past. I’m very sure I used to pass by these same people day in and day out but I was not focused on them because “I had things to do”. But now, things are different!

Win the lost at any cost!

You may not be able to go out but if you live in a compound house, you can go to your neighbour and talk to them about Jesus. If you don’t live in a compound house, simple gestures like cooking food and taking it to the neighbour next door can earn you a conversation. Rise up and take the message out there.

Harness the power of Technology

You may have more than 100 contacts on your phone right now. Are they all saved (no pun intended)? You may have connections on LinkedIn. Are they all saved? You may have followers on Twitter or Instagram. Are they all saved? And what about those who view your WhatsApp status updates? Are they all saved? Do you care at all? Look, this is the time to painstakingly sift through your contacts, followers and Friends on Facebook. Send them a dm. Start a conversation and bless them with the Gospel. Share the love of Christ. Offer to pray for somebody. Don’t share frivolous videos and memes for entertainment only. Stand out as the light in a dark world.

You can harness the power of technology as you also give offerings during Online Services to help in the propagation of the Gospel. Your seeds go a long way alleviate pain and depression and restore hope and life to people.

So there you are: five ways to make Jesus known even in a lockdown. Which of them resonates the most with you? I would love to hear from you. Post a comment below or send me a message on how this helps you reach out. God bless you! Stay safe!

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke lived a Life of Fire 🔥

I never had the opportunity to meet Evangelist Bonnke in person but I encountered him through his writings and the messages he preached. I was awed by his earnestness, his zeal, his passion for the lost, and his courage to fulfil his calling. His proclamation of truth was from a place of knowing Jesus and His love for humanity so intimately that he could intimate it with clarity. I thank God that as a young man, I have found out about him and his ministry, Christ for all Nations.

I thank God that this man heeded the call and decided to document his life in a book (Living a Life of Fire) so that we can experience the same grace he experienced and walk in that blazing flame he so passionately exuded all his life. If you desire to be used of God to reach your world for Jesus, I recommend that you obtain his books and messages. His Full Flame Film series (available on http://www.gettheflame.com) is a must-watch for you.
Evangelist Bonnke fought a good fight. He ran the race. He finished his course. It’s our turn. He passed the torch successfully.
You know, two days ago, I watched a message entitled, “The Judgement Seat of Christ” (I recommend it for you) by his successor, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, and I thought to myself, “How will Heaven be like when rewards are being disbursed by Jesus Himself?” I’m thrilled by the fact that this great evangelist successfully transferred the reins of the leadership of his ministry and as such the great work God started with him continues still. Glory to God!
If you do not know Evangelist Bonnke, here’s an extract I retrieved from an e-mail I received from his ministry a day before his passing:
Born in Königsberg, East Prussia, Germany in 1940, Reinhard committed his life to Jesus at the tender age of nine and soon after began telling his family he would one day serve as a missionary in Africa. In 1967, he and his young family answered that call and moved to the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, nestled deep within South Africa. Initially he was frustrated by the slow pace of salvations. But it was there that God began to give Evangelist Bonnke dreams of a map of Africa covered in the blood of Jesus and the voice of God declaring, “Africa shall be saved!”
This led him to change his approach from classic “church” ministry to large-scale evangelism. He took a leap of faith, rented a stadium… and only 100 people showed up. However, it was 100 people plus the Holy Spirit. In that first meeting, one of the attendees was miraculously healed. Word quickly spread throughout the community and by the closing session, thousands had come to hear Bonnke’s clear, impassioned preaching of the Gospel. That was just the beginning.
God continued to kiss the ministry, and in 1974 Evangelist Bonnke organized his efforts under the name, Christ for all Nations. Since then, more than 78-million people have made registered decisions to follow Christ at a CfaN Great Gospel Campaign. He has preached to some of the largest crowds ever-gathered – up to 1.6 million in a single session. Countless churches throughout the continent (and world) are pastored by leaders who first received Jesus during a Reinhard Bonnke sermon. Millions have been discipled by the more than 35 books he has written. Whole nations have turned toward godliness as a result of his courageous proclamations of truth. It is not an exaggeration to say that God has used Evangelist Bonnke to change the course of history.
In the mid-2000s, God gave Evangelist Bonnke the foresight to – in his words – “know that the baton has to be passed on to the young generation. This ministry is not my private property. It is all by God’s grace.” At the time, Daniel Kolenda was supplementing his income as a church-planter and pastor by moonlighting in the CfaN book warehouse. On a “chance encounter,” Reinhard met Daniel when walking through the office. The Holy Spirit prompted Evangelist Bonnke to ask the young man to be his personal assistant. Recognizing God’s favor and anointing on his life, Evangelist Bonnke transferred ever-increasing leadership responsibilities to Evangelist Kolenda. In 2013, Daniel Kolenda became Lead Evangelist and CEO of CfaN, though he continues to draw on Evangelist Bonnke’s experience and friendship. Evangelist Bonnke currently enjoys an active retirement that includes writing, speaking engagements and continued conversations with church leaders around the globe. He and his family do ask for your prayers as he recently underwent bone surgery – a result of age-related health issues. Still, his contagious joy and overflowing love of Jesus influences everything we do at CfaN. We remain proud to follow him as he follows Jesus.
The real question is: “Is what you’re loving for worth Christ dying for?”

‘…you’ve got the wrong boyfriend altogether.’

When I was a young man, I had an experience that profoundly changed my whole life and ministry. I had a meeting in North Germany. It was wonderful. The people responded to the Gospel. I was very very glad. At the end of the Service, I stood at the exit, shaking hands with the people as they left when suddenly the Holy Spirit spoke in my heart and said, “Behind you is a young lady that is about to leave.” I turned around and indeed there she was. I caught her by her arm; I said, “Excuse me, have you already received Jesus Christ as your Saviour?”
To my surprise, tears gushed out of her eyes.
She said, “No, I haven’t. I want to but I can’t.”
I said, “Why can’t you? Find salvation tonight in Jesus Christ.”
She said, “Because I’ve got a boyfriend who hates Jesus.”
I said, “Wait a minute! If you have a boyfriend who hates Jesus, you’ve got the wrong boyfriend altogether.”
She said, “No. But I love him so much. I love him so much. I love him so much.”
She pulled herself loose. She walked out of the door. It was night.
The next morning I sat at the breakfast table eating when a friend of mine rushed in and said, “Did you hear? Did you hear? Something terrible happened outside.”
I said, “What happened?”
It turned out that that very girl from the night before had been killed in an accident.
When I heard that, my breakfast got stuck in my throat. I slipped off my chair and I started to pray.
I said, “Oh Lord! Had I preached clear enough and with the necessary urgency!”
The Lord spoke to me, comforted me and said, “You have done everything you could have done!”
But still since that day I vowed to God that I’m going to preach the Gospel with all CLARITY and SIMPLICITY and URGENCY, that even a child could understand.

Accept God’s Call

Recently, I was watching Spiderman: Far from Home and I observed something striking from a particular scene in which Nick Fury called upon Peter Parker to come over to Berlin to get some issues sorted. Parker seems hesitant and unwilling to respond. Right there, Fury pointed out that Parker would have to choose between his fun vacation and saving the world. He could not have both at the same time. It was either he would co-operate with Nick to work closely and defeat the supposed threats to the earth or he would have a swell time enjoying his vacation with his mates.

Prior to that, Fury had met with Parker and given him the details of the enormity of danger the world was faced with. This is what Parker had to say: “I’m just a 16-year old boy from Queens.” He went on to mention the names of renowned superheros who could have been chosen instead of himself. But Fury made it clear that Parker was the one chosen to get the job done.

Don’t we all feel intimidated when we see crises, and we are told that we are the ones chosen to save the situation? As a young man or lady, you think to yourself that you are too young to save the world. But the truth is that God has called you. He has chosen you to do His will. See how beautifully He puts it: “For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Yes! This is your life’s assignment: to do good works God has ordained you for. You have been so fashioned, so designed, as God’s masterpiece, to fulfil His will!

His will of turning many unto righteousness! His will of reaching the unreached with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! But before you can effectively reach the unreached, you have to reach the Reacher; that is the Holy Spirit. He is the Lord of the harvest! Only a deeply intimate and personal relationship with the Lord will birth a man or woman on fire for the Lord with the Gospel. No wonder Jesus said for us to abide in Him (John 15:5).

Get on your knees and fellowship with the Lord. Get into the Word of God and meditate on it. Fill your heart and your mind with the Truth of His Word. Accept what it says! Accept the call into the Presence of God. Accept the call to take the Gospel to the nation’s of the world. Accept the call to preach to that neighbour of yours. Accept the call to minister to that colleague of yours. Refuse to fear! Lean into the bosom of the Father, rest in His love and dispense it to a world that is thirsty for that fountain of love which never runs dry!

Hallelujah!

Accept God’s call today. No more excuses!

Of course, I can’t leave you without reminding you to guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life and to think upon things which are true, noble, honest, and of good report (Proverbs 4:23; Philippians 4:8).

Never forget to do Altar Calls for Salvation!

I had a horrifying experience several years ago. Yet, it became a glorious experience, because it changed my ministry. My entire calling has been to help people achieve their dreams and goals. So subconsciously, I somewhat lost my thrust to “win the lost.”
I was in southern Florida and had just finished a youth conference, when a young, 12-years-old, rushed out of the building to cross the street to a restaurant. A truck was coming down the freeway. It smashed into her little body, threw her on the side of the road. I knelt beside her, as the ambulance and paramedics arrived, and tried to revive her. They could not, and she died.
It dawned on me that I was her last opportunity to get into the family of God. My mind clawed back through the memory of that service to recall giving an explanation of the Gospel, or offering to pray a prayer of commitment to Christ. I could not remember that entire evening ever explaining what the Gospel was all about, not praying a prayer of commitment to Christ with anyone.
I went on a twelve-day fast. At the end of the twelve days, I made a commitment to Christ, that whenever I walked to the pulpit I would do two things: (1) Give my declaration of my faith in God and why I was a believer. (2) Pray a prayer of commitment with anyone who wanted to make changes toward God.
The result has been astounding. Literally thousands have come to know Jesus in the last several years because of this decision. Before I sing my special songs, do any teaching, I give what I call my “declaration of faith in God,” and then I offer to pray a prayer of faith with anyone who wants to be born again. This is usually my approach.
If I had one thing in this entire Young Minister’s Handbook that I count as vital, this would be the one section I want you to remember.

What an Awesome Gift for Christmas!

Early in the first month of 2018, my first book in print had been published and I set off for the bus station to obtain them. I shared the incident of how a young scruffy man walked up to me, asking whether I needed assistance. I handed him the load and he helped me to the bus station.

Upon arrival at the bus station, I thanked him and shared the Gospel with him. I led him to the Lord and blessed him with money for breakfast. Then, I gave him a tract and wrote my phone number on it. I asked him to get in touch (even though I was not really expecting him to call- he did not even have a phone then).

Fast forward to Boxing Day, I missed about two calls from an unknown number because my phone was away from me at the time. The third time, I saw the incoming call and picked it up. Lo! It was Ralph- that same young scruffy man from the bus station! He was calling to wish me a Merry Christmas! My heart leapt! What joy!

He asserted that he now goes to Church and I was so elated! Glory!

After over eleven months, he still traced back to me the most significant encounter in His lifetime- experiencing Jesus!

What a delight! What a major thrust to make this season about the One who made it all possible- Jesus Christ!

Thank God for His indescribable gift!

Speaking of gifts, I have some giveaways- between now and the end of the year, I am giving away free copies of my book Everybody Needs Jesus! Simply SMS “FREE” to (+233) 026 504 4415 and I will get in touch so we can get you your giveaway!
